JABU VC Bags Fellowship of NIM
The Vice-Chancellor of Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Ikeji Arakeji, Professor Sola Fajana has been conferred with the Fellowship of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM).
The Fellowship was recently conferred on him and other eminently distinguished Nigerians at the 2016 Awards, Fellows and Spouse’s Day Luncheon Organized by the Institute held at the City hall Lagos Island on Thursday 25th August 2016.
The Luncheon tagged ‘Re-Branding the Nigerian Professional from Goodness to Greatness’ was organized in recognition of the critical roles that the inductees had played as prime drivers of management values, management standards and management professionalism in Nigeria.
The President and Chairman of Council Emeritus of the Institute, Prof Munzali Jibril, while conferring the NIM Fellowship Certificates on the recipients, congratulated them, and enjoined them to continue to be a good ambassadors of the Institute in all their endeavours. They were also reminded of the need to remember that the status of Fellowship of the Institute is sacred and holds no compromise.
Professor Fajana, a top notch Human Resource and Management expert and consultant, having been recognized for his enormous wealth of experience, achievements and service to the country, the Institute, and the academic environment, secured the highest award of the Institute as a testament of his professionalism and recognition of his invaluable contribution to humanity.
In his reaction to the prestigious award, the University don saw it as a call to higher service to the Institute, the management profession, and the nation as a whole, as he felt that the fellows should continue to contribute their talents, time and treasures towards generating desirable ideals that will further impact on the Nigerian society.
Fajana is a recipient of many other awards and fellowships, including Fellow of the Academy of Management Nigeria; Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management; Fellow of the Institute of Entrepreneurs; among others.
Among other distinguished personalities conferred with the Institute’s highest award were the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas; Director, Human Resources Management Department, Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND), Alhaji Aminu Anans; H.E. Mrs. Yetunde Abosede Onanuga; Brigadier General Ezra Jahadi Jakko; Alhaji Jani Ibrahim; Alhaji Aliyu Muhammad Naiya; Alhaji Umar Musa Mustapha; Pharm. Simon Okechukwu Akpa; Alhaji Yakubu Oseni; Mr. Abayomi Alade Ademefun; the philanthropist, Mrs Patricia Ahonsi; Mrs Cecelia Alabi; Mr Ehidiamen Agenmonmen; and Mr Kehinde Eyakwunor.
