JABU inaugurates governing body as part of its preparations to ensure the smooth running of the JABU Centre for Distance Learning. The management of Joseph Ayo Babalola University has inaugurated a Governing Body to oversee the affairs of the programmes run in the centre.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the former acting Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Olowokure said that the gestation period of the centre may be extended as enrollment into the programme is at its lowest ebb. The Director of the Centre, Professor Adeoye Eludire stated that the operation had started since March 2019 with one goal which is “to deliver a world-class service”. Tasking the Governing Board, Professor Olowokure stated that the low enrollment should not deter the zeal of the board but rather a driving force and solid implementation of the centre. He, therefore, charged the Board Members to work assiduously and cohesively to ensure return of investment to the university.
The members of the Governing Board are the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adeoye Eludire, Professor Festus Epetimehin, Professor Tokunbo Adaja, Professor Elumilade, Dr. Adewumi, Dr. Alabi, Dr. Kolawole, Dr. Sunday Babalola, Mrs. Alice Babalola.
