VISITOR TO JOSEPH AYO BABALOLA UNIVERSITY
Pastor Elijah Howard Lajuwomi Olusheye was the visitor to Joseph Ayo Babalola University. Pastor Olusheye was born in Igodan-Lisa in Ondo State of Nigeria. On successful completion of his secondary school education, he was divinely called to the church ministry where he studied under our father of blessed memory Late Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola, between 1954 and 1959. Pastor Olusheye worked briefly as a field evangelist, attended the Christ Apostolic Church Theological Seminary between 1962 and 1964 where he was thereafter duly ordained a pastor.
Pastor Olusheye got married in 1962 and worked as a pastor and evangelist for some years. He travelled to Canada where he studied Theology and History in several accredited theological seminaries and universities for his degrees from 1972 to 1976. He piloted the Sunday School as a new project in Christ Apostolic Church from 1976 to 1991 and became the National Sunday School Superintendent. He was thereafter made a District Coordinating Council Chairman where he served from 1991 to 1993 and a General Superintendent from 1993 to 1997.
He served as The President, Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide from 1997 till 2012.
Pastor Olusheye was happily married with many children. He was the author of ‘A Short History of the Apostolic Church, Revival Edition’.
