JABU PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION CEREMONY
JABU Professional Recognition Ceremony commenced with a quote from the guest lecturer, Professor Sesan Peter Ayodeji, “a leader is usually on top of the ladder primarily expected to provide direction for those he leads and prevent them from derailing…”. He spoke at the maiden edition of the professional recognition ceremony for the conferment of Fellowship and Induction of members into the HRDB Institute of Human Resource and Leadership Development.
The week-long event included an Annual Leadership Summit that attracted resource persons from within and outside the University among whom are, the Vice-President of Leadership Management International (LMI) Mr. Jonah Erbe, from Texas, the United States of America who virtually delivered a paper on Transformative Leadership.
The guest lecturer, Professor (Pastor) Ayodeji, a Professor of Machine and Process Design and Applied Ergonomics in the department of Industrial and Production Engineering, Federal University of Technology, Akure, spoke on Ministerial Leadership and Sustainable Development in Nigeria. He stated that those who are called by God into leadership should arise and build sustainable development for ministerial leadership in the country and beyond.
Recipients of the Distinguished Fellowship award of University Leadership and Administration (DFULP) are as follows: Vice-Chancellor, Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Osun State, Professor Olasebikan Fakolujo, the Registrar, Mr. Dapo Adeniyi; Deputy University Librarian, Dr. J.A. Kolawole and the Ag. University Bursar, Mr. A. O. Ariyibi; Dean, College of Postgraduate Studies, Professor Kehinde Eniola and Dean, of College of Management Sciences, Professor Fetus Epetimehin were given.
Another awardee who was a recipient of the award of Fellowship of Human Resource and Leadership Development (FHRLD) at the ceremony is Dr. Timothy Olaosebikan, Head of, the Human Resource Development Board, 23 participants were recipients of the Fellowship awards of Church Leadership and Administration (FCLA), while 47 individuals were inducted into the HRDB Institute of Human Resource and Leadership Development.
