Deputy University Librarian
The Deputy University Librarian is Doctor J.A. Kolawole who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theology from Acadia University, Canada, and a Bachelor of Arts from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship from Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Ikeji-Arakeji. He also holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Ado Ekiti; MLIS University of Ibadan; and a PhD degree in Information Resources Management from Babcock University, Illishan-Remo, Ogun State. His area of specialization is Library and Information Studies. He also rose through the ranks from Librarian II in 2006 to the position of Deputy University Librarian on October, 1st, 2018 in Joseph Ayo Babalola University Library, Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State, Nigeria. He is a pioneer staff of Joseph Ayo Babalola University. He has also published in both Local and International peer-reviewed journals.

Doctor Kolawole was keenly involved in the reform of the University Library and its transformation to its present status. The Library is blessed with quality staff that oversee its operation and also cater for the numerous needs of both students and staff of the University on issues that pertain to Library Automation. Doctor Kolawole, in the past, served as Chairman of the University’s Staff Disciplinary Committee and presently serves as either a member or Chairman of many Committees in the University. He is currently the Chairman of the University A4 Paper and Printing Press Committee. He is a member of the University Senate and is in attendance at the University’s Governing Council Meeting till September 2024.
